Merotrip Forte Injection (Meropenem 1000 mg + Sulbactam 500 mg) is a powerful antimicrobial formulation indicated for serious bacterial infections, especially those caused by carbapenem-resistant organisms.

Mechanism & Benefits:

  • Acts against multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (MDR-AB).
  • Exerts a clear bactericidal effect on tested carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CSAb) strains.
  • The combination of Meropenem + Sulbactam disrupts CSAb biofilm more effectively than either antimicrobial alone.

Indications:

Ideal for use in severe and life-threatening infections such as:

  • Severe Pneumonia
  • Bacteraemia / Septicaemia
  • Severe Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)

Composition (Per Vial) :

  • Meropenem IP – 1000 mg
  • Sulbactam Sodium IP (eq. to Sulbactam) – 500 mg

Dosages & Administration:

  • For intravenous (IV) use only
  • Powder for reconstitution before injection
  • To be used as directed by a physician
